Polarized Sunglasses – Designed For Sports but Used For General Use
Polarized Sunglasses were first tested and embraced by boaters and fishermen. They loved what this eyewear did for their vision as they navigated the waters for pleasure and for sport. As time went on they increased in popularity for other sports in the water such as surfing. They were discovered by other groups such as skiers and snowboarders for how they help aid their performance and time on the slopes. But these days the affection of their capabilities has expanded to the general population for use everyday especially while driving. And it is has been a welcome accessory to those who have cataracts and those who have light sensitivity. For those individuals there are also photochromic lenses that change from dark outside to light inside to help transition the individual better to the sun.
The power in polarized sunglasses lies in their lenses. Their job is to help lessen excess glare so the vision of their wearer is not impeded. The vertical orientation of the polarizers accomplishes this by filtering horizontal light as would a Venetian blind.
